Jeremy Wallace & Elevated Praise is an independent inspirational group based in Birmingham, AL that was seeking more online engagement and awareness around their band in 2013. Their campaign was executed for seven months across email marketing, social and online news media.
Email marketing distribution focused on their single releases online, booking, and important dates to watch their performances on television. These messages were distributed monthly to target audiences in Birmingham, AL, and Houston, TX.
Social media campaigns built awareness of their priorities by executing “listening parties” on Facebook, which invited thousands of targeted audiences to listen to their singles and also vote for their awards nominations.
Pitches to online news media focused on obtaining placements on top media sources in their genre (inspirational). Landing pages were also published monthly on inspirational websites, MyBirminghamGOSPEL.com to support online engagement and as a platform to build a community around their music.
Performances were booked across traditional media like Fox 6 Good Day Alabama, WATC – Atlanta, and AL.com to increase awareness.
Results overview:
The email marketing campaign resulted in an average open rate of over 20% with most online engagement on Facebook. Media pitches resulted in placements from top online entertainment news organizations in their genre, which included EURWeb, GospelGuru, UGospel, Positively Gospel, and others.
